People deserve to have the best education there is. If people are given a better education, they will be more involved in society and there would be less people not being qualified for well paying jobs. I would put more money into public schools and make the requirements and salary for teachers to be higher. Some money would go into private schools but they already have enough from the students attending.
Next, the healthcare needs to be assessed because, even if the country is full of the smartest and most successful people in the world, if they got sick and there was no medicine to cure them, everyone would die, making everything useless. I would raise taxes so more money would go to clinics, doctors, nurses, pharmacies, and the ER. I would also support finding new medicines and procedures.
The United States is being forced apart and divided into political groups. It needs to be stopped as people need to learn to accept each other. A unity between Conservatism and Progressivism needs to be formed. I would make sure to contact the news companies with new regulations on only spreading facts with true evidence backing them up.
People, no matter their race, ethnicity, gender, and sexuality, are still people. We should all respect each other and opportunities need to be given to support this. Policies need to be set so that minorities are given more opportunities and so that “color blindness” is reached.
The energy that is mainly being used right now (fossil fuels and gas) is ruining the Earth. Actions need to be taken or the country will be underwater soon and all life will die. Maybe it won’t happen in this generation, but it sure would help if we start actions to stop it. Taking a leadership stance in climate change will be very much necessary. I would promote renewable energy and eliminating the usage of fossil fuels through media, manufacturing companies, and speeches would help inspire others to start using
Although freedom of speech is important, there are so many people and groups that are abusing their rights. False information is everywhere and it’s getting so hard to decipher between what’s true vs false. This leads to people easily being manipulated into believing things are true and being lied to. Policies need to be made to hold media companies accountable. This would make sure that they have systems to detect misinformation and delete it. The people and groups that do this shouldn’t be allowed to use those platforms to spread misinformation.
Immigrants are the backbone of the US and the US is made of immigrants. Without them, we would not be able to function at all. The shared culture is what helps us thrive. However, the path of becoming an immigrant is so hard and brutal. Once becoming an immigrant, life doesn’t become any easier. Opportunities need to be given to them. If I became president, I would set fair policies to encourage the candidates/ people to settle in the US. Better refugee policies need to be written and made to be able to assist those fleeing from other countries. Policies also need to be improved to ensure immigrants safety, needs, and give them the opportunities to be able to thrive in the US.
I believe in the power of the nation. I am proud of the people and will contribute to the greater good. I will perfect the nation if elected.
