For quarter two I chose to continue writing in the passion journal. Recently, I have gained a peculiar interest in art history. I find myself frequently scavenging the internet and books in the library on historical art pieces (specifically sculptures). Knowing what happened during the time certain historical masterpieces were made gives a brand new outlook on the pieces of art. It is also so fascinating to understand the different techniques used in the art and how it conveys the artist's feelings.
Because of this, I combined my interests in art history, drawing, and creative writing to write a story in the notebook. (It ended up being 739 pages by the time journals were being checked but we don't speak about that.)
The book starts off with Yara, a 19 year old girl going to college majoring in art history, walking to her dorm after class. As she crossed the street on her way back, a truck came out of no where, hitting and tragically causes her to loose cautiousness. When she wakes up, it seems that she has been transported to the twentieth century (1910) garden of Raire Castillon. Raire was a talented fauvist artist that never reached fame after being framed for a crime he never committed and died at a young age after his arch-nemesis poisoned him. A tragedy, in other words. Nonetheless, Raire was still Yara's favorite artist. Yara, knowing Raire's terrible fate, decides to take advantage of this strange time travel and help Raire become the successful artist he deserved to be in the past. However, things start to take a turn as the twentieth century world Yara was placed in started to glitch. She guesses that is may be her present body starting to wake up. She wonders, "Could this have all been a dream?"
You can read more in my notebook... Except that I won't allow it so you shall never hear about this story ever again mwajajajaja!
